History of the Company

Lynx Group was formed by the amalgamation of two former Northwest Land Management companies with over 40 years experience in the business; including plant, haulage, recycling and land management In fact our senior director was a pioneer in recycling soil by screening to provide a suitable medium to replace top soil.

This enabled us to distance ourselves from the haul and dump practice and to create a more environmentally friendly article by converting “ blots on the landscape ” into amenities in the landscape.

About the Company

Lynx Group, like others before, was once a family run business operating throughout Greater Manchester, but now counts directors and middle management from three families, after amalgamation, with land-based interests in the North West, Yorkshire, Midlands and the South West, whilst still retaining a tight knit and dedicated work ethic.

Enthusiasm oozes from the company, from the professionals to the skilled operatives at the sharp end of the business. Never to be beaten, we call-in outside consultants, when in new territory and we have cooperated successfully for so long we count them all as friends and colleagues.

Together we move over one and a half million tons of Inert Material from development sites per annum, to restore / develop / improve derelict sites including disused quarries, agricultural land, brownfield sites, all as preliminaries to creating softer landscapes.

In short the company is available for any works connected to any land management programme requiring importation and re-contouring by inert materials to achieve the objective.
